OFF ROAD EVENT
AM General Off-Road Course/Silver Lake Sand Dunes
South Bend, Indiana and Mears, Michigan
Friday, October 24 – Saturday, October 25, 2008
Woodfield HUMMER and The HUMMER Club Inc. invites you to test your skills and your HUMMER at the AM General’s Off-Road Course in South Bend, Indiana. After you have conquered the trails and obstacles there, we will caravan into Michigan to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Mears, Michigan.
There, we will drive over the dunes, swim in Lake Michigan (if you can brave the cold October temps), and possibly race other HUMMERS over the large flat areas. After the dunes, we will head over to a local 30-acre off-road park and will have a BBQ with a Michigan off-road organization and have a chance to go and play in the woods. At the BBQ we will have an awards ceremony celebrating the previous events.
At the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, you will be reponsible for your own entry into the park. Requirements are a State of Michigan ORV permit ($16.25), a State park sticker ($6 day), and a flag which can reach 10 feet in the air mounted to the FRONT of your HUMMER ($25 + $10 bracket) all of which can be purchased at, or local to, the Dunes.
